Description:
Please contact Gid (smokehill@comcast.net) for more information about this pet. We restrict our adoption area to Maryland, DC, and Virginia. If you are on the boarder of Maryland or Virginia, please apply--decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. Freckles was turned in as a stray in late October, allegedly abandoned by her owner. The 'neighbor' who turned her in knew her name and her age, 9 - 12 months. This girl will not be very large when fully grown. She is extremely sweet and affectionate. Freckles passed her physical with flying colors. She is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative, and she is up to date on all vaccines. She weighs 42 pounds. Freckles adapted quickly in her foster home, where she blended instantly and happily into a large group of house dogs, large and small. She loves to play, but is very gentle with smaller puppies. Freckles is good around the cats in her foster home, and eagerly makes friends with new people. She takes treats very gently from your hand, and seems to have been an inside dog. She is housebroken and doesn't 'graze' on tables or countertops; she is crate-trained, too. She seems not to have ever walked on a leash, but is learning quickly. Basically, Freckles is very easy to get along with and eager to please. Investing in a basic obedience class will turn this gem into a wonderful pet. 11/11/09 For information on any of our other great dogs, please see our web page at www.metrodcdals.org.
