This is Daisy, these pictures dont do her justice as everyone says she is much prettier in person, she is around 6-7years old, rescued from a kill shelter in Birmingham AL.
Daisy is such a sweet girl and all she wants is attention, she is a shadow and will follow you where ever you go. I think she has lacked attention in her life as the excitement of getting attention just makes her whole body wag and she growns when you pet her!!
She did great with everyone (including kids) when she walked through a pet store and was very intrigued by the rodents. She will let you know what kind of treats she likes esp if they are on the bottom shelf where she can pick them out herself!! Even though she is 6 or 7 years old she has alot of energy, so she needs someone that will have time to give her a walk everyday or take her to the park, but she calms down nicely in the house and will just lay down next to you. She is not that good with dogs esp little dogs. She likes her own space when it comes to dogs so we recommend that she be the only dog. She does not go after dogs, she will completely ignore other dogs, but doesnt like it when they get in her 'bubble' or tries to play with her. She is good with all kids she has met, she is not good with cats, she will chase them.
Daisy would love to be an indoor dog. She is doing great indoors with only a couple accidents months ago! she will require a fenced in yard as she likes to venture and explore. She is kennel trained and leash trained. We are working on the heal command and she is doing great. She is also learning how to run on the treadmill.
She has showed some interest in toys but most of the time not. She has played fetch with me once then seemed to forgot how. LOL
Daisy is HW positive, she has started slow HW treatment while we raise the money for the faster treatment.
Daisy will be Spayed, UTD on vaccines, wormed, HW - and microchipped, before she is adopted!
If you are interested in her you can still fill an application for her on our webpage under Adoptable Dogs, it is a word document, fill it out and email it to me at email@example.com. Her adoption will pend until she finishes her HW treatment
