See TRIXIE'S STORY's Homepage Momma and 5 newborn puppies turned into animal control! These 5 BEAUTIFUL puppies were just born on 1/25/10. There are three females and two males. Their mom, Trixie, was turned into an animal control facility in Indiana, where she was going to be euthanized, ALONG WITH HER NEWBORN PUPPIES! A team of volunteers from the IN animal control contacted us, and we could not turn them away! Trixie is now resting safely and comfortably with her 5 precious babies. As we do not know the father of the litter, we can only list the puppies as longhaired Dachshund/Sheltie mixes, like their mother. Applications are being accepted with the understanding that this litter will not be available for adoption until the pups are 8 weeks old. Trixie will also be available for adoption after she weans her litter and is able to be fixed. We do not have a forcast date at this time.
