Description:
Thank you for your interest in one of our dogs. Once you have read the biography if he/she sounds like a match, please fill out an application on our website at www.dpsrescue.com. Adoption Fee for all adult dogs is $300. Puppies are $350. Seniors over the age of 10 years old are $150. All dogs are spayed or neutered, current on shots (DHPPC, Bordetella and Rabies), microchipped, Frontline for fleas and ticks and dewormed. We'd like to introduce you to Mr. Jamocha Almond Fudge. That's Fudge to his friends. He's about 15lbs. and obviously a Dachshund with a little extra. We're not sure what the extra is but it obviously is a touch of spunk and a whole lot of personality. Our little Fudgie has more personality then should be legally allowable. He loves people. Because he's only about 1-2 years old and still very much a puppy, he's best suited for a home that has kids over the age of 8. He still likes to jump up and grab to get your attention and he's quite frisky with the other dogs who he loves to play with but he's just this side of bossy once in awhile.Fudge loves to go to the dog park and meet new canine companions. He walks in and most certainly he knows that he's a star and everyone is looking at him. He is very confident and exudes that confidence from every part of his long body! Fudge met some cats at a friend's house and didn't have any problems with them. He surprisingly even seemed almost scared of them at first. He wasn't sure what to make of cats who were bigger then him and made funny noises as they rubbed up against him.Fudge was saved from the animal shelter where he was for the past 3 1/2 weeks. He had been available for quite sometime but then his time was up as the cages were filling up and staff began to discuss that either he went to rescue or he'd be euthanized. Thank heavens they called us so we could take in our little Fudgie boy because he's certainly worth saving!
