Pearl's mom is a dachshund mix that only weighs 12 pounds full grown. We expect that Gertie will be 25 pounds or less full grown. Gertie, her mom, and two sisters were rescued from a hoarding situation in rural Virgina. When Pearl opened her eyes as a tiny baby it was evident that there was a problem with her eyes. Pearl has a condition called microphthalmia in one eye.
