Gertie's mom is a dachshund mix that only weighs 12 pounds full grown. We expect that Gertie will be 20 pounds or less full grown. Gertie, her mom, and two sisters were rescued from a hoarding situation in rural Virgina. When Gertie opened her eyes as a tiny baby it was evident that there was a problem with her eyes. Gertie has a condition called microphthalmia.
