Description:
Jack is a dazzling, solid white 3.5 year old male Collie/Sheltie mix. He has beautiful blue eyes and weighs about 55 pounds. Jack is deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from being a very social boy! He and his animal companions—dogs and cats alike—enjoy playing and running together in the fenced yard of their foster home. He is extremely cuddly and loves getting attention once he gets to know you! This will happen very quickly if you have treats for him! Jack suffers from a condition that now limits him to 35 to 40% of his daytime vision and no night vision. In spite of these handicaps, Jack is housetrained and crate trained and has learned how to walk on a leash. He also rides well in the car. Jack would do well with someone who has the time to ensure he is taken care of, to exercise and train him, and give him lots of love. Jack would most likely enjoy himself more if adopted into a family with an understanding dog pal. He has also taken on the role of being alpha dog and needs to be placed with a submissive dog. Jack will not be adopted out to children under 12 due to his deafness and limited sight. Would your home be the place to welcome him and make him part of the family? If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Our standard adoption fee is $350. This fee helps us to cover the expense of providing each dog with a Health Exam, Rabies/DHPP vaccines, Heartworm Test, Heartworm Preventative, Flea & Tick Protection, Microchip, Neuter/Spay, and Bath. Upon receipt of the questionnaire, an adoption coordinator will contact you within 5 business days. Thank you for considering to adopt a collie in need!!!
