Sadie is a 6 year old, female Shepherd, Collie and Chow mix who was returned to SCAC because she became very protective of her new home. Originally, Sadie came to Second Chance with her housemate because the new baby in her home had severe pet allergies. The two were house dogs that were then forced to live outside. Sadie is a sweet and mellow lady who has a beautiful coat which makes her look like a lion. She also has the most beautiful eyes that convey friendship and truth. She is a cautious girl and who can be a little afraid of new situations and will need continued socialization to overcome those fear issues. Basic obedience would also be quite beneficial for Sadie since she can be a bit stubborn when asked to perform tasks. We recommend a home with children seven years and older, with an assertive primary care-giver. Cats are fine and other dogs are possible upon introduction. If you are looking for a gentle soul sister, then come and meet our fine Sadie!
