Please contact Blake (adopt1@opinpets.org) for more information about this pet. ***THIS IS A COURTESY POST - DUKE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE STAMFORD SHELTER***Please help me find a home or rescue which utilizes foster homes (NOT a shelter - this dog cannot be kenneled/caged for a long period of time or will develop cage aggression) for this little Cocker Mix, Duke. Duke is 11 yrs old, neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and weighs 21 pounds. He needs a new home due to his family having a baby and no time for him. Duke takes a while to warm up to new people and will react fearfully if spooked. Would do best in an adult only home, preferably one on the quieter side OR with a dog-savvy family - this is NOT a dog for 1st time dog owners. He has done fine with the child in the family, however, outside of his comfort zone - his reaction to small children is not known. He would love to be an only dog, but again, with dog savvy owners, he could possibly work with another dog. Duke is located in Norwalk, CT.
