7-31-09 Jorja was seized by the city in a neglect case and we have held her for several months. She was living in filth and left alone in the house for days at a time. She is shy at first but warms up quickly and then is a typical, happy, exuberant puppy! Beautiful, purebred Cocker girl, just 1 1/2 years old and 20#. This breed requires regular grooming to prevent mats and keep her looking her best. She has of course now been spayed, all vaccines, heartworm tested and on preventative, de-wormed, frontlined and will be micro-chipped before adoption. She is in a volunteer home with all sizes of dogs and a cat and gets along great. Has lived with children in the past so should be fine with gentle, respectful kids. House and crate trained, she is used to a fenced yard and we will require that in her new home. She would love another young, friendly canine playmate to burn off some of her puppy energy. Please e-mail for an application to adopt Jorja if you can provide a lifetime, loving home.
