Ginger was relinquished by her owners for her own health. Her people loved her but were unable to properly care for her, due to their own health issues. She is overweight but has lost almost four pounds since coming into foster care last month. Her right eye is a dry eye, but it tests normal now with a once-daily ointment application. She has been prone to ear infections in the past. Ginger is a sweet girl whose spunky personality keeps her going, and she now has a spring in her step! She is wonderful about tolerating her eye and ear treatments. Ginger gets along with other dogs, but she does try to chase the foster cats. She is tolerating increased physical activity and has at least ten more pounds to lose. Ginger loves to ride in the car. Ginger has been to two Meet-and-Greets and did well with all the people she met at those events. She still loves her food, but she has discovered that baby carrots are a pretty good snack after all!
