9-15-09 This sweetie was released from a Missouri puppymill along with 16 other dogs. Fortunately he ended up here and not at auction or worse. He will need a patient and understanding home that will give him time to adjust as he is somewhat shy but warms up as soon as he knows you are a friend. He is in a volunteer home with other dogs and cats and gets along with them great. He would really like another dog in the home to help him feel comfortable and a fenced yard is required as he is now used to that and it will help with his house training. He loves to run, roll around in the grass and explore. All things he was never able to do before. He is crate trained and wears a belly band in the house to prevent marking and his recent neuter should help with that. Older children should be fine but small, loud, active children might be too much for him. Not a mean bone anywhere but their activity level might scare him. About 6 years old and 28 lbs he is a very nice boy! Has now been neutered, all vaccines, heartworm tested, frontlined, de-wormed and will be micro-chipped before adoption. Had his cherry eye repaired at the time of his neuter. Also scheduled for a dental as he has horrible teeth as do most mill dogs. Please e-mail for an application if you think you are the right home for Connor.
