Description:
Dakota is a very special cocker spaniel. He is extremely shy. He was surrendered to us in 2009 at age 2 years. He was scared of his own shadow, now he has a new fear to overcome--moving to a new home. Dakota lived in Iowa and one day he went looking for his 'mom' she was at work. He got lost and was gone for 2 months and 6 days. On the fourth of July in 2009, the fireworks made him so fearful, he forgot about people and ran into a garage where he was captured. Dakota came back to our rescue for rehoming again. Kelley adopted him. He was so happy with her, but she died very unexpectedly and now he has to find a new family to call his own. He is afraid of just about everyone and everything. We don't know what kind of life he had before he came to us, but it had to be traumatic. He walks on a leash now and loves to snuggle with a family member. He needs a home where there is not a lot of confusion. Dakota is Micro-chipped and up-to-date with all of his shots and neutered. He is $275.00 plus tax. Contact admin@cockerspanielresources.org if you are interested in Dakota. We respond within 24 hours. We adopt to families in IA, MN and WI. We encourage a single woman to apply for Dakota. He needs to have a fenced yard, also.
