Hello! My name is Mikey. I look like a cross between a Westie and Chinese Crested. I am approx. 3 years old and have now been neutered and UTD on all my shots. I came from a cruelty investigation and was taken away from my home (if that’s what you would call it) with about 50 other dogs. I was one of the few did not have heartworms because most of us lived outside and under cars. I have really come along way. I am crate trained, but do have a built in timer and bark to be let out at right around 5:45 and my foster family really LOVES that!! I have very few accidents in the house and I will stand at the door to go out (you just have to be paying attention). I was not leash trained at all, but now go out on the leash every day. I DO need a yard to run it or to be on leash AT ALL TIMES when outside. I will bolt and be gone in a flash. Because of where I grew up, I am a VERY shy, skittish, scary, jumpy little boy and have MAJOR trust issues. I would well in a home with very quiet, older people or an older single woman. I’m not too fond of men at all. I am petrified of my foster father spend all my time trying to avoid him. I barely tolerate the small children. I try to avoid them at all costs also. I pretty much only like my foster mom and her mother. I don’t mind any of my foster 4 legged brothers and sisters. I try to play every so often, but not much. I DO like to harass the cats. I like them though. I think that I just annoy them. I DO NOT do well with BIG dogs at all! I think that I can beat them all up and want to fight them (I forget that I’m only 10” tall). I try to bolt out the door to get the big dogs outside, so you have to watch me very closely because I am FAST!!! I am a work in progress still and maybe one day I will not be so jumpy and skittish. I need a very quiet home and someone who has lots of patience and time to let ME be Me and come out of my shell. If you think I'm the perfect dog for you, please email my foster mom at: firstname.lastname@example.org
