Rowdy is one of two purebred chi's we recently had surrendered to our group. His family purchased him from a breeder for a large sum of money thinking he'd be a teacup. He grew to 7.5 lbs and despite being 'standard' in size he is an absolutely beautiful white and blue chi. His owner tied he and 'Lilly,' the other chi, to the front door handle so that they wouldn't have access to the house and make a mess. Not only that but when the woman and her 11 year old son gave them away the son say's he punches the dog in the face all the time. Rowdy is a bit shy when you pet him and tends to cower down in fear but is coming to love affection and attention. He approaches me often and groans when i scratch his ears, chin and neck. He loves to give kisses too. He's very energetic and gets excited easily. He LOVES to go for walks around the neighborhood. He's friendly with all dogs he's encountered so far but hasn't been around cats. I think he'd make an excellent companion for someone who is willing to work a little and show him that not all humans are cruel and abusive. Rowdy is heartworm negative!!! IMPORTANT NOTE: All dogs need regular vigorous exercise. They also should be obedience trained and have an owner that knows how to be a true pack leader. We will only consider adopting to people willing to give the proper care and leadership that all dogs need.
