Birthday approx July 6, 2005.
Wrangler was probably hit by car, or maybe he fell or was fallen upon. No one knows because he was left in the drop off kennels at the Valencia County shelter. He waited through his stray hold period - which included a holiday. By the time we were able to get him into the veterinary clinic he had been waiting ten days. Of course, we don’t know how long before that he was injured. Though he was in pain he was a good boy and accepted what life had dealt him. His leg was broken just above the knee. Our vet was pleased that he was able to pull the ends together and pin it, even though some of the muscles and tendons had contracted. It appears that he will recover well and hopefully have full use of his leg. We think he is a very handsome boy with huge eyes, large upright ears, and a nicely domed head. Just luscious to look at! He is a bit tentative at first but is a sweetie when he feels safe. Wrangler is about three years old and weighs just over eight pounds. He will be ready for adoption after his pin is removed in mid August.
