Honey Bee Birthday approx July 1, 2006 Passed from family to family, pretty Honey Bee had been abused and neglected. Her first owner, a young girl, broke up with her boyfriend because he was abusing her and the dog. She moved in with a family member, but they wouldn’t allow her to keep her little girl there. Passed on to another family, Honey Bee became even more fearful and nippy. The terrified little dog was finally locked in the garage because they didn’t know how to deal with her fear. They were going to take her to the shelter but were told to call us to see if we could help find her a home. Thank goodness we had just placed a dog and could bring her in before she ended up in a place where she would have had even more stress in her life. Within a couple of days she was in her foster moms lap giving kisses, asking for hugs, and sleeping under the covers. It will take a little while for her to learn to trust people in general, but for now she is taking it one step at a time. If you have patience, a kind heart and are willing to give her a chance you will end up with a gorgeous little snuggle baby. Honey Bee is about seven pounds and a bit over a year old.UPDATE: Honey Bee’s foster mom says this little gal is a hoarder! She gathers up all of the toys, chewies and odds n ends and stashes them in the closet and then stands guard! How cute is that!
