Description:
Dallas is a 7 year old, male Chihuahua mix who came to Second Chance because he was left behind in a condemned trailer, without heat, until Pownal Animal Control was able to take him in. Dallas is a nervous little fellow who needs to slowly warm up to new people. Once Dallas does bond with someone, he can be quite protective of that person and of their car. Poor Dallas had a rough start at life, and whomever adopts him will be able to watch him blossom into the dog that he would like to be. Extensive socialization, basic obedience, leash training and reinforcement of housetraining will be necessary. A quiet, adult only home would be best. Cats are fine and other dogs may be possible upon introduction. In fact, another dog would be beneficial for increasing Dallas’s self-confidence. If you are looking for a sweet man, with quite a bit of attitude, then come and meet our darling, Dallas!
