Description:
Patches is a little 9 1/2 pound mixed breed dog. He is probably 10-12 years old. He was someone's loving little cuddle bug. How he came to be abandoned during this holiday season is mind boggling. I am guessing he is a Chihuahua mix - but really just guessing. He is a very happy, outgoing little boy. And cute as a bugs ear. Patches had a badly needed dental (he lost all but 3 of his teeth) and had a bladder stone removed on the 29th of December. Patches is current on all his vaccinations and tested negative for heartworm. He is on Hills Science Diet U/D in hopes that it will prevent further stones forming in his bladder. He is very good with the other dogs. He is generally very tolerant of the cats, but on occasion will chase and bark at them. He loves people - loves to be picked up and carried. He knows all about sleeping in your bed, but rarely spends the whole night. He is most likely house trained, but with it being so cold, we have a wee wee pad set up for him. He was a very dedicated marker, but that is diminishing as he settles in to the pack. K9HAVEN Rescue, Inc. requires an adoption application to begin the adoption process. Personal and vet references will be needed. A home visit will end the process.
