Description:
Estimated Birthday April 10, 2006 Running back and forth through traffic in Los Lunas, this little gal was terrified as cars honked, the police car broadcast telling people to ignore the dog, as she dashed, stopped, and dashed again not knowing where to run to next. Fortunately, one of our volunteers was in the line of cars almost at a stop. She opened her door and offered a whiff of hamburgers she had just picked up for the grand kids in the back seat. Mandy jumped in and settled down for the ride to her new foster home. Sadly, we don't know where her puppies are or were. She was still heavy with milk from nursing babies. Perhaps they were weaned and given away by then. Ruth reported finding Mandy to the local animal control office, the Los Lunas Village office, posted her in the news paper and even with Albuquerque shelter and Animal Humane. Someone is going to be lucky to adopt this lovely little three year old, Chihuahua mix. We are guessing she may be part Pug or Shih Tzu because of her delightful, slight under bite and roundish face, thick white coat with golden patches and heavy bone. She is about 12 pounds and as sweet as she could be now that she is safe and warm. ADOPTION FEE $250
