Pippin is a 6 year old, male, long-haired Chihuahua who takes a little bit of time warming up to new people. He was returned to the shelter because he would resource guard his owner, not allowing people to get close if he was on the person’s lap. Pippin is sweet and affectionate, but has a tendency to fiercely protect his person and his home turf. Because of this type of behavior, we recommend an adults only, quiet home. Cats are fine and other dogs are fine upon introduction, as Pippin has been around other dogs all of his life. Pippin will make an excellent full-time companion for someone willing to spend time with him. Come in and meet this vocal, sassy boy!
