A Labor of Love Dog Rescue OUR MISSION To provide a loving and safe temporary home for dogs until a quality forever home is found. To provide a no-kill alternative for dogs which will benefit the community, dog pounds and shelters from overcrowding. To contribute to the end of unwanted pets and pet overpopulation through education and spaying and neutering before adoption. Dirk is between one and two years old. We rescued him along with 11 other dogs that were living their lives on chains cold and hungry. Dirk is between one and two years old. We rescued him along with 11 other dogs that were living their lives on chains cold and hungry. Dirk is a wonderful and sweet dog that is looking for someone to love him unconditionally. He is very shy with new people and needs someone with a soft voice and soft touch. Dirk is not a dog for new pet owners and will need a home where he will be able to have a lot of time spent with him as well as a lot of patience and love. Dirk loves his belly rubbed and also loves to get lots of hugs! Dirk is crate trained but will need work on housebreaking. Dirk gets along with other dogs and is good with cats. A home with no young children please. Dirk was treated for heartworm on 3/10/10 and 3/11/10 and is doing great!
