All puppy and ready to play. That's Monteverde, aka 'Monty.' Monty and his siblings -- Tamarindo, Cariari andManuel Antonio -- came to SmallDog Rescue shortly after birth in late October 2008. They arrived with theirmother, Irazu, a beautiful 21-pound reddish-blond Cairn Terrier mix. This little guy is black-and-tan with aglint of mischief in his eye. We're told by his caretakers that he's the 'ringleader' of the group. He's arough-and-tumble little fellow who, like his littermates, loves a good puppy party, LOVES the attention of people and immensely enjoys untying your shoes. Monty and his sibs are expected to grow to about 20 pounds or so at adulthood. Bring him up right, and Monty has what it takes to be a happy, well-adjusted companion for life. Puppies require a lot oftime and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate Monteverde needs prior to applying. We areconsidering only applications with confirmable vet histories.
