He has a lot of energy as he is still very much a puppy. He is crate trained, leash trained, and housetrained. He needs a new human that will take him for walks every day and play with him as he is very active for a bulldog. He loves to fetch and play with toys and other dogs. Has not been around cats. He can live with older kids, over the age of 10 yrs. He needs to complete a basic obedience class, as his previous owners didn't take the time to teach him manners. He is very smart and willing to please. You MUST complete an adoption application before you will be considered to adopt. Jafe's adoption fee is $475. Arizona Animal Assistance is a non profit rescue group working primarily with Great Danes and English Mastiffs. We routinely do NOT adopt outside of the state of Arizona for ease of a home visit prior to adoption and post adoption assistance if needed. We WILL adopt out of state in some situations, BUT we do not fly pets to homes and we MUST meet you in person, so if you are up for a drive to Arizona, please feel free to submit an application. We do NOT adopt to homes with intact (not spayed or neutered) animals in residence, EVER. Each adopter may be subject to a home visit and must sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Your adopted pet will: 1. Be spayed or neutered 2. Have a current vaccination record including rabies, bordatella, and parvo/distemper 3. Be microchipped with a chip that will trace back to both you as the owner, and to our rescue. 4. Medical records for any existing issues we may have treated the pet for, as well as any medications or prescriptions the pet needs. 5. Include a gift certificate and voucher for you to schedule a free complete groom at Poochini Pet Salon in Mesa, Arizona. www.poochinipetsalon.com 6. Include a free day of doggie day care at Pete and Mac's in Gilbert. For each of our pets we look for the right match into a home where they will primarily be in indoor pet and invited to be part of the family. These animals are in our homes as our foster kids, not kept in a shelter, and as such it may take us a bit to respond to your application and we work very hard to find the PERFECT home, which may not necessarily be the first application we receive. We are a small group of volunteers, so please be patient, and caring for the dogs here is our first priority every day. If you wish to adopt a pet from us please be sure you have filled out an adoption application. To fill out and submit an adoption application please visit http://members.petfinder.com/~AZ213/appform.html Our adoption fees cover the costs of transportation, food, bedding, treats, kennels, supplements, grooming, shelter, boarding, vet care, medications, alteration, microchipping, vaccinating, web site maintenance, telephone lines, etc..... PLEASE do NOT email us and request that we forego the adoption fee for you as the adoption fees don’t even begin to cover all that rescue entails. We do not accept personal checks. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our wonderful adopters, but unfortunately we have had far too many issues with checks in the past few years, and our rescue depends for a large part on the minimal adoption fees to be able to continue to help these giant babies. We feel that if you can not afford the minimal adoption fee you should wait for a better time to consider adopting a high maintenance animal. Thanks for your understanding!
