As every foster home knows, there is always one dog who grabs your heart and doesn't let go. For me, Jack is it. Jack is a 3 year old Brussels who was a former stud dog. Despite having led a kennel life, he's adjusted superbly to life as a house dog and loves it! He loves having his crate in the living room where he goes at night (on his own) when it's time for bed. The rest of the time, he's always just a few feet from me. Lol, when I walk, he puts his nose to the back of my leg to let me know he's there. Earlier today, I let him out into the front yard to let him run (somewhere he's not been allowed before). He ran around, chased the chickens just for the sheer joy of being able to run in a big new world, stopped to say hig to his friends in the back yard and ran up to me, tail wagging, as if to say, 'Wow, this is fun. Wait, there's something I need to check out.' and off he went to see something he's never seen before. I called him and he came running back to me so we could go back in the house. Jack weighs about 19 - 21 lbs and is a sturdy little boy. He gets along with everyone-dogs and people. He is housetrained and loves the freedom of the dog door and the fenced yard. Jack has the sweetest disposition, although initially he's a little shy. He's a great little traveler-either loose or in a crate. He does like to bark when he's excited, but it's not overly done. Jack will be a great dog for an older couple, or someone who wants a companion. Although Jack has been exposed to kids, young ones (under 10) probably won't thrill Jack. Jack is being fostered near Ann Arbor. His adoption donation is $225 which covers all of his vet work-neuter, dental, all shots, heartworm test, etc..
