Roxie is a 7yo purebred brittany spaniel who was surrendered by her owner in Memphis. Roxie was adopted by the family from a shelter years ago but their new daughter is now 1yo and Roxie has still not adjusted well to living with the baby and it's felt she would be happier in a home without children. Roxy has medium-high activity level and loves to chase after birds. Runs and plays outside, but then settles down quickly in the house. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with her people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Not recommended for cats. Not recommended for children. Great with other dogs. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Knows basic commands. Housebroken and crate-trained. No issues such as separation anxiety, counter surfing or barking. Weighs about 32#, healthy, altered and utd on shots.
Here's a note from her owner: 'Roxy was a rescue and was terrified of everything when we got her. She does not do well in new and unfamiliar situations. She is fine when she is at home, places that she regularly goes, and when outside on walks. She does not cower behind me, or avoid people, but she ignores them. She only really exhibits these behaviors outside. In the house, if a visitor comes in, she will greet them and likes to sniff their hair and face. After that she generally ignores them as well. She only seeks out being pet from my husband and me, and then only at night when she cant look out the window and monitor bird status in the backyard. Roxie has a CD, RN and CGC and she would be an excellent agility dog.'.
