Are you looking for an easy going, layed back, quiet companion? Then Owen is your man. He is a perfect gentleman - easy to live with, gets along with all he meets, two and four legged alike. Owen would fit into your home without a ripple. All he needs is a warm loving home and a soft place to lay. He is past all the chewing and jumping of puppyhood. He doesn't bother your furniture and won't jump on you. He will lay his head in your lap and look at you with his big puppy eyes. The great thing about adopting an older dog is that the activity level is more moderate and they are easier to bring into your home. Owen would very much appreciate the chance to show you how easy and loving he would be. He sure has shown me.
We don't know anything about Owen's past. He was taken to a vet clinic and left as a stray. He was heartworm positive when he arrived in rescue and he has completed his treatment. He was given the 'all clear' by the vet to start heartworm preventative, and he's UTD with vaccines. At the vet's recommendation, we will wait about 6 weeks (end of February) before he is neutered.
