Update: Ruby is loving the life of being a spoiled family member. She now joins the family in the evening to watch t.v. and will invite herself up onto your lap to snuggle. Major improvement from day one - her preferred place was in the office, under the desk. If she goes in there now, we call Ruby, Ruby - she then runs out to see what that the pack is missing her. She is a funny little girl who just blossoms each day. Ruby is a rewarding foster home experience. It warms her foster families heart to see her progress to the enjoyment of being a family member. Her housetraining is getting much better and we only have a accident here and there (mainly her humans fault). Will sit automatically for treats (huge progress as she would not take a treat entering SDBR) and has initiated play with her resident foster siblings. Ruby will need a somewhat less hectic household, but she does adore children. Children running and chasing her does scare her and she will try to hide. Once she knows she is safe she will come out to find her kids. She is a extremely sweet girl who needs a understanding and patient family and another canine companion in the household.
10/18/08 My name is Ruby and I am a 4 yr old, petite female. I have a beautiful coat with a red tint and my foster Mom says I am a sweetie pie. I am getting along with all of my foster siblings . I give kisses and my tail does not stop wagging. Thanks Jane - my boxer angel for bringing me to SDBR. I will be going in soon for my spay and anything else the Dr says I may need. Check back for pictures, video and an update. You will love me - I am small in size but HUGE in the love department.
Ruby's adoption donation is $300. All SDBR boxers are fully vetted and microchipped prior to placement.
