Buttercup is an 8yo female boxer who was dumped at the kill shelter in rural Mississippi by her owners who said they could no longer afford to take care of her. Buttercup stole the hearts of the shelter workers who made a national plea for Buttercup and that's how she came to be rescued. She's friendly and well-socialized with a medium activity level. Goes outside to do her business, then comes right back inside. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Great with kids, cats and other dogs. Recommended even for small children. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Knows basic commands. Housebroken and crate-trained. No issues such as separation anxiety, counter surfing or barking. Weighs about 50#, healthy, altered and utd on shots. Because she's a senior, Buttercup's adoption fee is discounted. Here's a note from her foster mom: 'WHAT AN AWESOME DOG. If you like boxers then you will lover Buttercup. She's such a good girl, super easy, low maintenance. Several foster families share custody of Buttercup because she's so easy to have around. She's right at home in the middle of a hectic busy household and she's comfortable in a quiet slow easy environment. Buttercup loves everything about life, no negative thoughts ever cross her mind, she's great with all people, kids, dogs, cats. She's wonderfully socialized, could not be any more perfect. Loves kids, sits and watches them play, considers them prime time entertainment! Crate trained but it's not needed as she's completely housebroken and never bothers anything in the house. Buttercup deserves a wonderful family who will appreciate her and never abandon her again.'To adopt please fill out an adoption application. For more information about our adoption procedures and fees, please visit our homepage at Good Dog Rescue. For more information or if your have questions email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
