Sugar is sweet as, well, sugar and she is looking for a forever family to call her own. Sugar was one of a litter of puppies we placed a year ago. We made our best guess and called them Boxer mixes. As they got older, everyone thought, Boxer/SharPei because of all the wrinkles. The family who adopted beautiful Sugar live on Hill Air Foce Base. Unfortunately, it is against the housing regulation to own Pitt Bulls and because some people said Sugar looks like a Pitt, the Housing office made her family get a DNA test and it came back that Sugar is half Boxer and half Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which is a type of Pitt Bull. Her family was forced to give her back to us, in order to keep their home.Sugar doesn't deserve this, but she does deserve another chance at a loving, adoptive family where she can remain for the rest of her life. Luckily Sugar has alot going for her. She is great with older kids and plays with her owner's 7 and 9 year old grandchildren. She has been around babies, but she tends to lick them too much. She has never shown any aggresion towards children. As always we recommend dog-savvy kids (kids who don't rough-house dogs too much, and know when enough is enough).Sugar is also house-trained. She knows commands such as Sit, Stay, Shake, High Five and is even more convincing with a piece of kibble. She is even microchipped.
