Name: DaisyStatus: Available for Adoption (adoption info)Species: DogBreed: BoxerColor: White, with beautiful spotsSex: Female (spayed)Current Age: 1 Year 5 Months (best estimate)Activity Level: Moderately ActiveIndoor or Outdoor: Indoor OnlyGood with People: FriendlyGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoHousetrained: YesDaisy is our highly energetic gorgeous white boxer with a full tail that is usually wagging furiously. She has figured out how to jump our chain link fence and escapes when she sees something she wants (squirrels). She always comes back home, but we are concerned for her safety since we live on a busy street and very close to a major highway. This will stop is she is exercised daily – 45 minute walks or runs and if you have a privacy fence. If you live in a condo or apt she MUST be exercised daily.
Daisy has a heart of gold, and loves both her dog brothers and human brothers very much. She is really friendly with people. She is easily excited and delighted to play—especially tug or “boxing”. She is good at chasing anything you throw—but not so good at bringing it back. She also has a blast keeping toys away from her other dog brothers.Like all dogs, treats make Daisy’s day, but be careful not to give her a treat around other dogs unless you want to see how far she will go to defend what is hers. This also goes for feeding her, until she has adjusted to other dogs. Daisy has been great with our human sons, but we would be cautious of her around young children due to her high energy level. Although Daisy has a very gentle side and is motherly with our 4 pound puppy and 10 pound Shih Tzu as well as our 10 year old 110 pound mutt. What Daisy would love the most is a family that can walk/run her often, and let her be with them all day. Nothing makes her happier than being in same place you are, getting on the couch beside you and even sleeping in your bed. In the house, Daisy will relax and stretch out to nap often, especially when everyone is just watching television. As for her personal space, she does not care for her crate, but may tolerate it depending on her mood. She does enjoy car rides and hanging her head out the window. She’ll go anywhere, anytime you want to take her. Her endless energy would also make her a great running and biking partner..
