We got JD from a local animal control agency after they contacted us regarding his behavior. It seems that he was not adjusting very well to his kennel and had started to self-mutilate (chew hot spots on himself). JD ended up in custody after his people moved away and left him behind, in the house. He was found probably just in time, he was very thin and weak from lack of food and water.
He's probably one of the most ordinary looking dogs, in fact he looks like he'd be right at home in a junkyard! But don't let his common appearance fool you - he's smart as a whip and has a great personality.
JD gets along with most other dogs, although he can be a bit rough-and-tumble at times. All he needs is some patience and some actual time inside a real home and we think this diamond in the rough would really shine!
