Description:
Did you know that large breed dogs are the hardest to find homes for? Well, its true and please dont tell Bernie, he would be heartbroken! Bernie was born in 2009 and weighs 60 lbs. He is not through growing yet, so you would definitely be adopting a large dog. He is really great with almost all the dogs he has been introduced to. He is so cute when he gets to go outside because he really must bring a toy with him, so he grabs one from the toy box on his way out! He is housetrained and we recommend crating when you are not at home. Bernie has lots of energy and needs some training, but he is already a really good boy, he just needs help with not jumping up to meet people. He loves all people but he cant go to a home with children under 10 because he would just accidently knock them down. HELP Humane Society Inc. is a non-profit organization currently run by a small group of animal lovers in Cass County, MO (just south of Kansas City). All HELP animals are treated by veterinarians, receive age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, spayed/neutered and those incoming after Oct 2005, have been micro chipped. Cats have been FeLV/FIV tested and are negative unless otherwise stated. Dogs have been heartworm tested and are on heartworm preventative. HELP now has a no-kill shelter. HELP does not take in any owner relinquished animals. HELP rescues stray dogs and cats from the streets. We have been told by many adopters that the reason they liked adopting form us is because we have a happy place and all the cats are the friendliest ones they had ever met. HELP feels that ALL animal’s are worth saving. We have many FIV and FeLV+ cats in our care. They will live with us until they end their life’s journey or find a permanent home. Adopting a Friend All animals are current on vaccinations, been spayed/neutered, dewormed, micro chipped and the cats have been FeLV/FIV tested and dogs heartworm tested. Come Visit Us! Our hours of operation are Tuesday - Friday, 1pm - 8pm, Saturday 10am - 6pm, Sunday 12pm - 5pm, closed on Monday. 511 Main St. Belton, MO 64012 816-318-HELP www.helppets.org Adoption
