Pete has had some not so fortunate times so far in his life but we are all trying to give him the chance he deserves at having a good forever family. His first caretaker was an elderly man who died of cancer and his second family was irresponsible and would allow Pete and their other dog to run around the neighborhood. Animal control/concerned neighbors asked me to step in and help get Pete away from them and into a better life. But we do not have that much time to offer Pete. Because he is having to live at a boarding facility, we can only keep him a couple more weeks and if he has not found a home he will be euthanized. No cats or male dogs can be allowed in Pete's future. Can you help Pete find happiness? So you want to adopt but live out of the area:If you live outside of Hobbs, NM, please still consider adopting these pets. We work alongside with transport coordinators who will help us arrange a transport to get your potential pet to your home. We also have an airport within an hour and a half , and if you are willing to pay airfare, we could try to fly your pet to you. Adoption Fees A tax-deductible donation of $95 to 501c3 Dogs Deserve Better. Any amount over $95 is greatly appreciated. The average cost of us to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip is close to $150. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption (unless a courtesy listing). We DO NOT adopt dogs as 'outside' dogs only or 'chained' dogs!
