He is currently about 63 pounds and needs to gain at least 10 more. Life has not been kind to poor Buster......he was picked up as stray by Animal Control extremely emaciated and with kennel cough. He was scheduled to be euthanized because, temperament testers failed to see the big, goofy guy seen by everyone else, including shelter staff and several rescuers. Then, at the 11th hour, thanks to the combined efforts of outside rescuers and concerned staff, he made it out! Although Buster bears scars on his back and legs, has horrible coat condition, and is very underweight, he craves affection and solicits attention at every opportunity. He is good with female dogs (currently fostered with 2), and seems to be OK with male dogs if introduced properly and slowly. He is a little too interested in cats at the moment to consider living with one, but we are working on this and will update this bio regularly. When we posted Buster on craigslist as an American Bulldog/Boxer mix (our best guess), we were contacted by an Olde English Bulldogge breeder and member of the International Olde English Bulldogge Association, who informed us that Buster was obviously a purebred.
