After Sasha's family had a baby, they didn't have time for her or the other 2 dog in the house so they took them all to a overcrowded shelter. The selter was full and euthanizing for space so we were able to take in Sasha and her 'sister' into rescue. Sasha is around 2-3 years old and must have been a house dg at some point. She is housebroken, very sweet, timid at first but is learning to play and have fun n her foster home. She is tall border collie but has a most easy-going personality than most. She would love to be in a home where she can get teh attention she so desires. Update 9/2/08Sasha has begun to settle into her foster home beautifully after being emotionally exhausted. She lacks confidence and her trust in people has been badly tarnished; however, she is an exceptionally kind and thoughtful dog. Every day she develops and is becoming much more responsive. She has started to interact and play well with the other dogs. Sasha is housebroken and is very calm and quiet indoors and is beginning to thrive on human interaction and touch. Sasha’s ideal forever home would be with someone who understands Border Collies, willing to have the patience to let her blossom, and an unending supply of gentle kindness...the result will be an extremely loyal and brilliant family member.
All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranaged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. http://midwestdogrescuenetwork.com/adoptionapplication.aspxPlease try email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.
