Description:
I am Gidget. You might think my eyes look spooky because they glow so brightly, but come see me in person and you’ll see that it’s just the camera adding that spooky effect (and that extra ten pounds!) I came into the shelter in July of 2009 and even with my big blue eyes, I still blend into all the other black dogs in this place. I bet if you met me you’d want to take me home, because I am just a cuddler. They say I’m a border collie or shepherd mix but I’m not too worried about herding anything. I’d much rather enjoy a biscuit or two (or eight!) than go running around out on some farm. Still, if you’ve got something you need me to round up for you, I guess I can give it a try. But please help me get back in shape first before you ask me to work any sheep, because I’ve put on a few pounds here at HES. I can’t help it-the food is good here, and my kennel mate never finishes his dinner, and how can I just let it go to waste? Still, I’d like to take up running again. Just ease me into it slowly, okay? The $85 adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, all vaccinations (including Rabies and Bordetella) and a Home Again Microchip. What a great deal!! Hamilton County residents pay an additional $3 for the animal registration fee. All adoptions to residents outside of Hamilton County require a home visit to validate the information given through the adoption process. The shelter is open for visitors (no appointments necessary): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday: 11 AM until 4 PM Thursdays: 11 AM until 6 PM Fridays: 12 PM until 4 PM
