Description:
6 March 2009Our little Keppi is doing wonderfully. She is feeling much better now that she is eating regularly and has grown a lot since she first came to us. She will always be on the small side; right now she weighs about 29 pounds and could put on another couple of pounds but probably not much more than that. She is happy and frisky like a young dog should be. She loves to run around the yard and play with the other dogs. She can take off like a rocket and she is fast. She has started showing interest in chasing the ball, but it is not her passion. She really loves to play tug a rope or keep away with someone or another dog. She also really enjoys wrestling and roughhousing with other dogs. It is because of her age and desire to play rough sometimes that we would not recommend her for children under the age of 12. She is doing very well with her house manners and potty training and is good in her crate for 8-9 hours. We have just begun to include her on our walks and she loves them. She enjoys being out on walks so much that she still has a tendency to pull, but that is getting better all the time.Since she is feeling better she is less of a snuggle munchkin and is becoming more independent, but she still enjoys sitting down with you in the evening. She is not overly active and we consider her to be a companion level dog, but don’t let that fool you: she still needs to have an active life with play and walks and outside activities. Keppi has been heartworm tested and on preventative, spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and in season on flea/tick preventative.
Keppi s being fostered in St. Louis. Please email Chris at comebyebcrescue@hotmail.com for more information or go to our petfinder site http://www.comebyebcrescue.petfinder.org for an online application to adopt Keppi.

Snuggle munchkin seeks loving home!
What can I tell you about Keppi? She is an adorable little girl and at 7 mos and 17 pounds we expect her to be only about 30 pounds at maturity. We think she might be mixed with Corgi and will be more that size…a mini BC. She is sitting at my feet as I type waiting for me to pet her, or better yet to move to the couch so she can cuddle up next to me.
She has only been with me a week now so I am not sure about her activity level yet, but she is playful and happy and very good in the house. She has had a couple of accidents but is doing very well with her house training. She has not had a lot of exposure to children yet, so I am not sure how she would do with them, but I think she would be okay. She likes the cat, who is much more her size than the other dogs here, and would really like to play with the cat. She has shown no aggression toward her, just chases the cat sometimes trying to play. She gets along well with the dogs and enjoys playing with them, but they can get a little rough for her sometimes. She is smart and loving and learning her manners quickly.
She was found wandering in So. Illinois and we’re still wondering how anyone could be so careless with such a cute, loving girl like this.
