Meet Honey! Honey is a survivor. She came to us through a caring citizen who found out that the owner kept Honey, her siblings, and Honey's mom as outside dogs. Honey's mom was a hunting dog who didn't like to hunt, but he bred her to sell the pups. Well, the pups didn't sell, so word on the street was that he shoots the pups if they don't bring him in any money. She quickly scurried over there (2 hour drive, actually) and rescued the mom and her pups, in our rescue. Now, let's tell you all about Honey, who is in fact, a little Honey dear! She is quite the character! She is a bit shy around humans still, but can you blame her? she lived her life out in the cold, out back of a house, with mom tied to a chain. She's doing super with her dog socializing skills, she's in a foster home with two giant, friendly labs who slobber all over her, and she has 5 kids to dote on her. The shyness is going away trememdously each day she's with us.
