Description:
What a great dog! Jumpin' Jack Flash is a pure bred 'Star Valley Dog' which means we can detect at least three breeds in him. His coat, long nose and long legs suggest a coonhound-like field/trail dog; the ears, his intelligence, personality and devotion is definitely Labrador retriever. One of our vets insists he is mostly bluetick hound, but his former owners say Lab/spaniel. Oh well! Jack is athletic, and can really jump - but he doesn't jump OVER anything, just straight up on those long, spring-loaded legs. Jack will race you on your 4-wheeler - and win! He'll chase your snow machine through the deepest powder - then come home and lie on the sofa in front of the fire. Jack is a very affectionate and devoted boy. Jack was born in July, 2005 and was surrendered to our foster care about a year later (family moved and couldn't take Jack with them). He likes a nice quiet nap area away from all the other foster dogs - mostly, he snoozes in the car in the garage where it's nice and quiet. Jack is obedient, not much of a barker, and uses a doggy door to go outside into a fenced yard for 'business'. He will walk well on a leash at your side; is good in new situations; loves rides in the car; and is a good eater. He weighs 75 pounds.
