Joe Adoption Contribution: $225.00 Joe is a handsome one and a half year old boy. We are not entirely sure of his mix, though we think he looks quite a bit like a Rhodesian Ridgeback without the ridge and with a curly tail. He spent two weeks at canine college and graduated with many compliments from his trainer. He said Joe was strong, yet super loving and playful. Joe learned the commands of heal, sit, down and stay. During class, he obeyed every command at any time, despite any environmental influence, other dogs and food were around him and he stayed until he was told “ok!” More work is needed at home, he knows the commands but doesn’t always obey as quickly as he did in class – practice makes perfect! He is protective as well; he will bark or warn any stranger that comes near. He is housebroken and crate trained. Although he is young and playful, he is very mannerly. He loves hugs and will give gentle kisses if you give him permission. Joe has a very cute personality that is quiet and humble at times, yet playful and fun too. Since he is solidly built, he can handle being around children, and is very good with them. Because of his size, Joe can play a little too rough for very young children. He requires very little maintenance with his grooming and is in excellent heath. Joe loves the outdoors and would be great with someone that loves to do things outside like walking, jogging, hiking, etc. Joe demands his walk, sometimes twice a day, and does not care if it is sunny, dark, rainy, cold or snowing! Currently Joe is around teens, cats and dogs, and loves them all! Joe would actually benefit with another dog in the household, one of his favorite things to do is play, and he will run and play with another dog until the other dog quits. Joe also likes to play with toys and balls! He loves tug with a very sturdy rope toy. He fetches well, drops it sometimes, and uses his nose to find the toys when they land where he didn’t see. It wouldn’t take much training to encourage him in tracking. He loves to sniff out treats and toys! With the way Joe loves people and being outdoors, he might even make a great search and rescue dog.Joe will make a wonderful addition to an active family who is looking for an energetic, fun and loveable dog to add to their household! The adoption contribution for Joe is $225.00. Please contact Daryl at email@example.com for more information about Joe or any of our other fantastic dogs.
