Raider is a handsome young black lab with a white splash on his chest, born around April 2008. His owner lost his job, and surrendered Raider to Animal Control when he moved his family to Mexico. Raider spent about a month at the pound, and finally ran out of time. A concerned rescuer posted him on the internet, begging for help before Raider was euthanized. I couldn't stand the thought of such a handsome boy being killed, and so he came to Thistle Hill.
Raider is a friendly, sweet, affectionate dog who is great with other dogs and with cats. He appears to be housebroken, and is doing very well with crate training. He is very strong on the leash, so need some work on that. He rides beautifully in the car. He is a big boy (72 pounds and, since he's only 8 months old, still growing) and can be exuberant, so would probably be too rough for very small children. However, his previous owner had kids, so a home with older children (over 5) would probably be great.
Raider has been neutered, is up to date with vaccinations, and has been wormed. His adoption fee is $150.00
