Description:
Meet Koda We would like to introduce everyone to Koda! If you are familiar with RMLR, you might recognize his face. He is a very large dog, about 100 lbs and very strong. We think he maybe a Labrador Rottweiler mix. Koda has been adopted out twice, and returned twice for aggression issues with other dogs. Due to his size, strength and aggression issues we have not been able to adopt him out. We have paid for him to be in training and are paying for him to be in a pet kennel since we do not have any foster available to work with him. He is a beautiful healthy dog that has lived with children of various ages (one family had 6 children) and he has never shown any aggression to people or children. He seems protective of his humans. He has also lived with other dogs and done fine with them. He is just picky with his dog friends. We are a small volunteer run rescue and have very limited resources and funds. We have spent a lot of money on Koda, between working with a trainer and paying to board him. We do not have the means to work with him in order to safely adopt him out. He is a beautiful dog that we believe can be adoptable. He is just in need of a very STRONG leader, a lot of training and maybe even some dog-socialization rehabilitation. We are looking for possibly a trainer, another rescue with more resources or a sanctuary that might be able to help Koda. Or donations for us to be able to continue to help him as best we can. We're trying our hardest - but our resources just seem to be running out! We are not a shelter, we rescue dogs and use foster homes to keep them until adoption. Our policy is to have an application on file FIRST before visiting with a dog or puppy. We then arrange a meeting between you and the dog. To fill out an application go to http://www.rockymountainlabrescue.com/Adopting/AdoptionApplication/tabid/84/Default.aspx Please do not call about an animal until you have read the website description and filled out an application. We are a very small non-profit organization with members who are all volunteers and have regular jobs. We appreciate your cooperation in this process.
