Description:
Meet Taz, the lanky lab mix. This sweet young man has had a rough go recently. Last winter a well intended individual adopted him from a high kill shelter where his days were numbered. Though they did their best to acclimate Taz to their home, the other dog in the home simply would not accept Taz and was aggressive with him on a couple of occasions. His original adopters just couldn't stand the thought of Taz going back to a high kill shelter and were granted permission to relinquish him to our rescue instead. So now this graceful guy is part of the One Tail at a Time family!Taz is a tall boy and is far more handsome in person than his pictures indicate..though he's pretty cute in his pictures too! Not suprisingly, Taz has become a shy boy who can feel a little scared of the world around him. Despite his size, this lovely boy jumped when a pen fell to the ground while our intake director was assessing him. Likely due to his experience in his previous home, Taz also is very scared of other dogs; he does not show the slightest bit of aggression with other dogs, but does feel very scared upon meeting other dogs, especially larger ones. Taz may be fine in a home with a smaller canine buddy. Though he can initially be timid, Taz is certainly a friendly guy who kept leaning against our intake director for attention and some petting. He also is a good listener and was happy to 'sit' on command for his photos. All Taz really needs is some love and security in order to boost his self esteem and let him know that his next home will be forever! As with all One Tail at a Time dogs, Taz is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in Taz please e-mail Anna at annaotat@gmail.com. Feel free to check out our website at www.onetail.org too!
