BLAKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Blake (The old-English pronunciation of 'black') was found wandering in the country-side west of Flint MI She was listed in the local papers, with the local shelters and on internet sites as a 'found' dog, but no one came forward. From day one she was housebroken, and she seems to have had some basic training - we don't know why anyone would want to part with her! She is about 1 or 2 years old, and still very puppyish - her big weakness is socks. The vet thinks she is a Lab/Dane cross - she weighs about 65 pounds (she needs about another 10 pounds, but she burns a lot of calories!) and is very tall. Blake has been spayed and has had her rabies shots. She is great with other dogs, if a bit boisterous, and appears to be good with children too. She is very interested in kitties, but leaves the cats where we go to work alone, for the most part. She is good in the car and is crate trained too. We've been working on her manners and she walks politely on a leash, comes well called and does a pretty good stay. She can be shy with strangers, but warms up quickly. She has been fostered in a home rather than kenneled, so is used to a household routine. To meet Blake, or for any more information, call Pat at 810 624 2035.
