COURTESY LISTING*** THIS DOG IS LOCATED IN COLUMBIANA, ALABAMA AT SHELBY COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY 381 McDow RoadColumbiana, AL email@example.comHello friend, I'm Venus. I'm a happy and friendly little Black and Tan Coonhound mix who was found as a stray on 12/09/09. I sure hope my new family comes to adopt me soon!I am a friendly girl and LOVE attention from everyone. I will lean on you and get all squinty-eyed when you pet me. I like to play and will readily join in a game of tag or chase.True to my Hound breed I'm a fairly tolerant little dog and am very sturdy. We Hounds are usually good 'kid dogs,' as we don't get too upset if a small child squeals at us or claps or accidentally pulls an ear or tail. But just to be on the safe side, if you have small children at home please bring them with you to meet me so you can be sure we'll be the best of friends.I don't seem to have been taught my manners, so you can help me by teaching me things like not to jump on people for attention and to sit when I want a treat or te be petted. The best way to do that is to take me to Obedience School. And if you take classes through Shelby Humane Society, classes are free!I'm happy to share my toys with you, but I seem a bit reluctant to give up my food. The Adoption Counselors at the shelter will give you a great handout on how to teach me that it's okay to share my food with people. It's super easy and I'm so smart that I'll catch on in no time!If you want a fun-lovin' gal who's always ready for a good time then adopt me - Venus!
