Hamilton’s former owner purchased him as a puppy. She just loved him and doted on him.
As a hobby, she would babysit small dogs, one of which was Holly. She always felt sorry for Holly as her owners never gave her much attention and somewhere along the line she had been debarked (AWFUL!). This very lovely lady would always mention to Holly’s owners that if they ever wanted to give up Holly, she would be glad to take her. One day, Holly’s owners asked if this woman was serious about taking Holly, as they really would like to give her up.
When those people gave up Holly, they produced her AKC papers ---and it turned out, she was Hamilton’s mother! They have been together ever since.
Sadly, this lady died of pancreatic cancer but before she died, she wanted Holly and Hamilton safe and loved and so they came to rescue.
We are committed to this lady's dying wish that Holly and Hamilton stay together and go to a home where they will be safe and loved.
Nine year old Holly and seven year old Hamilton tolerate other dogs up to a point, but will not be placed in a home where there are other dogs or cats. They are content with each other.
