Smeagle was hit by a car and taken to a local veterinarian. His back leg was broken in 3 places but the vet was able to save the leg. Unfortunately, it's been over 2 months and no one has claimed this little lemon beagle with hazel eyes. The vet office asked one of our foster moms if we could take him into our rescue group. Now he lives with that nice foster mom and gets to play with other dogs and use his leg more instead of staying in a kennel or going to a shelter. His foster mom has already tested him with other dogs, cats, and kids and he is great with them all. He would make a great family companion. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. To help pay for their medical bills, a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption.
All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranaged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. http://midwestdogrescuenetwork.com/adoptionapplication.aspxPlease try email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.
