Saved from euthanasia at an overcrowded city shelter, Cute MARIBEL a darling little 1 yr F Beagle/Hound/ Amer Pit Bull Terrier Mix was dumped at the shelter weighing only 36 lbs.... she was scared and skinny.... someone left her to starve...she hunches to the floor and constantly looks all around for threats....but she comes forward when you go to pet her. She scored very well on her temperament test and got a 'NO CONCERN' status. She seems to be fine with other dogs but a bit scared, so she will need a patient person to give her back her confidence. She is now out of the shelter, thanks to a caring foster home who stepped up for her. Here is what her foster mom had to say about her:
'Maribel is so sweet. a gentle soul though she has a little puppy personality in her when we go walking. Maribel is doing well though still can be a little frightened. She waits to do her business until I walk her outside. And she is eating regularly; still usually when I'm not around but she started going for a few bites when I'm around, then leaving, then going back for another few backs, then leaving, etc. Very funny.' Maribel has all her shots, is microchipped and will be getting spayed this week. All that is missing is a loving home---won't you give this sweet girl another chance? Please call 917 689 8414 to meet this little darling. Thank you for caring about a shelter pet.
