Description:
Beau and his brother were dumped in an overnight box in a shelter.. His brother was quickly adopted, leaving Beua without any family left. He was very sad and scared when we picked him up. Beau is a wonderful dog, very snuggly (all 34lbs of him loves a lap!), quite calm and only bayed once when his brother was adopted. Even when kenneled with other barking dogs, he does not make a peep. He does beautifully with other dogs and being submissive and social, he seems to get along well with every canine he meets. He is good with children, especially shy ones, because he is very gentle, even when taking a treat. . Beau has a slight limp caused by a bulled in his hip. The limp is barely noticeable and doesn't slow him down a bit. The vet recommends leaving it there and doesn't feel it will cause any problems. If you see Beau romping with his foster siblings, you'd agree! Beau is a one-year-old Basset Hound mix (he only really looks like a basset, but is definitely not purebred, so we couldnt say what else is in there). He has been neutered, vaccinated and dewormed and is hoping for an understanding home where he can be part of the family, not an outdoor-only dog. After losing so many people and dogs in his short life he deserves a family where he will be appreciated for his wonderful attitufe towards life. He just wants to love the people who will become his furever family.
